Invisalign? - Dental Health Message Board

I don't know if this is the right place for this or not, but it seemed most fitting to me.

Have any of you tried Invisalign? I've been looking at them and thinking about talking to my orthodontist about them, but I'd also like to talk with people who have actually had them.

The problem with Invisalign is this- you can take them out, they give you cotton mouth and require a good brushing before putting them back in, of course you can't brush the Invialign without brushing your teeth- gross

I have finally found an excellent ortho and we are in the process of assessing wether or not I can get braces for the 3rd time!

The first 2 basically did a quick fix without regard to long term effects. #@!#!
I suggest clear braces. I have had metal, invisalign and clear. Most people were unaware of the clear braces. The Invisalign is undetectable visually, however, I also had trouble speaking clearly at times. Take it from someone who has tried it all and having failed twice- has done extensive research to insure I make the right choice- this go round.

I just got invisalign a week and a half ago...At first I was pretty surprised at how visible they were (at least to me) and how uncomfortable they were.
Now, I am used to them in my mouth and they really aren't that bad.
I did have a lisp for about a week though. I thought it would never go away but finally I can speak properly.
I had no idea about the attachments until they put them on in my first visit. Right now, I only have some on my bottom teeth and I think that the aligner (with the attachment things) makes it more visible. I am dreading if I have to get them on my top front teeth b/c I think you will really be able to see it.
I got invisalign purely for the "invisble" factor...I would have gotten nothing otherwise.
It's not such a big deal for me to take them in and out for eating...you cut your snacking down (which is good!).
Just want to know if people have had attachments on the top - is it really visible with the aligner in? My bottom one looks SO visible to me.
