still doing liquid diet

I made it through the holiday drinking protein shakes and visiting with “safe” friends.
You know who your friends are when everyone is eating B-B-QUE and they make you a special ice cream protein shake. I had one person asked if he should freeze me a plate of food until November.
I had to laugh.

Can not wait until the sutures are removed and hopefully, I can get some temporary dental work placed.

Hope everyone had a good holiday

Re: still doing liquid diet

I haven't chewed anything since May 9th but have figured bunches that I can just swallow. LOL!

Tonight I took strawberries in a little chopper added some splenda and sugar free whipped cream. YUM! (don't eat sugar)

There is so much you can eat if your creative. I do not do just liquids anymore. But its over 2 months now. I have no pain anymore and must wait one more month then I can chew soft things.

Re: still doing liquid diet

I had all my teeth extracted and immediate placed implants with the teeth attached which I think is called "Teeth in a Day" in a 6 hour surgery on May 9th. I am not suppose to chew for 3 months as to permit them to bond to the bone. I can chew baked fish but nothing more stiff than that. But even at that I find I do not want to take any chances and do not even chew that but cut small bites and swallow. At the end of the 3 months I will then be permitted to chew fairly soft foods that do not require biting into or ripping or heavy chewing. I think I will be able to chew veges cooked very soft and tender chicken. No steak for a while yet.

I have not hated this diet. It doesn't bother me at all.
