| | Severe pain after temporary bridge put on
I went into the dentist last week to get my temporary bridge, first he had to fill a small cavity on one of the teeth that would be the anchor tooth for the bridge. then he put the temporary bridge on, later that day the novacaine wore off and it was normally sore but the next day I felt great. Then a few days later I had a very bad headache, just on the right side, the side that he worked on, then the next day I got an earache, headache and the teeth above and the one he filled hurt. I went to see him 2 days ago and he tapped on all the teeth and I told him the one hurt when he did that and he said yes the root is exposed it will be sensitive and told me that my jaw is probaly just sore from holding my mouth open. Well that's not the case, I am hurting so bad, my head and ear and mouth are sharp pains. I want to know what it possibly could be. If the root is exposed on that one tooth, the tempoary crown doesn't cover it all the way, could this be the problem? What should I do, I don't like taking pain medicine but I am in so much pain, all I want to do is lay down. I know it's senstive to cold stuff but this isn't sensitive pain I am having. Any suggestions?
