Dead tooth, No symptoms, should I get it pulled?

I had a tooth with nerve pain for 5 months, It finally died, there is no pain anymore and no sign of abscess on gum or x-rays....

Can I just leave it in there?
Any estimates on how long before abscess symptoms might show up?

I would leave the tooth alone, and only get something done about it, if it causes your problems. Dont open a "can of worms" - like I did. I had a dead tooth that was causing me no pain, root filled, and it was nothing but trouble after.

I heard some people wait until a dead tooth falls out on its own.

I wonder if it is better to pull it or let it fall out on its own.
