Dentist says no crown lengtheneing needed - wnd opinion needed??
I had a root canal on Tooth #2 (molar), which was already chipped because a few yrs ago I had a tongue ring and bit down on that tooth.
Now that the rt canal is done my dentist wants to crown that tooth, but the tooth, in my opinion is very low. I asked him if I should go to a periodontist for a crown lengthening and he said no!
Even though my dentist says no, can I just go to his referring periodontist for an evaulation of that tooth?? Is crown lenthening such a big process that my regular dentist just doesn't want to wait???
I'm just worried because a previous dentist was so quick to put a crown on my tooth and then afterwards there were gum problems.
