Veneers are a type of cosmetic restoration. There are kind of like fake fingernails, but permanent. The dentist shaves away the front surface of the teeth that they are to be applied to, and applies a new, custom fit, surface over those teeth. This way you can have these wonderful perfect looking teeth.
