Would the neighboring teeth move to wisdom teeth space if the wisoms were extracted?

I only have 25 teeth, including two lower wisdom teeth. My orthodontist said I need to have two lower wisdom teeth and one lower premolar tooth extracted before having the brace put on. That would end up with only 22 teeth. He said the extraction of two wisdom is mainly for the gum health. I recently had flap surgery on the upper right quadrant, and it is the only one that I ever had a periodontal surgery.
One thing I am wondering is if the neighboring teeth would move towards the wisdom teeth space if the wisdom teeth were extracted, since I only have 22 teeth after the extraction.

Thank you very much.

I had the same concern when my wisdoms were removed but my dentist said that the natural movement of teeth is towards the center. So far it has been about 1 1/2 years and my teeth have not moved outwards yet. But who knows what the future will bring.

Thank you very much. My orthodontist also said the teeth would tend to move to the front of the mouth. It might be right.
