Post Cant Grind my Food- OUCH

Hi

Just to let you know what has been going on in my mouth, I got a root canal a week ago May 17th(today is the 23nd...and I got 4 fillings yesterday(22nd).

The problem is all these procedures have happened in the rear parts of my teeth(the molars), which are required to do the grinding of the food. I try eating easily chewable food, but I kind of abused it by having a balance bar which contained nuts. Even a side salad hurt it...Now I have a dull pain that wont go away...Have I done something wrong...I thought this would be a good way to start getting used to eating normal food again, but I guess I was wrong. WHAT SHOULD I DO????

BTW the pain is where I got the fillings, the root canal tooth was hurting now its Ok....I guess its normal?

OUCHHH Hurting as we speak.

Talking

Hello, WTH! My advice is to just take it easy on what you chew for a while...I bet the soreness will ease up. Gradually you'll start to feel better...then you can gradually start eating without having to be so careful. But for now, its better to be extra careful; give the teeth you had fillings put in a chance to "calm down". Chewing on harder foods just puts added stress on already stressed teeth. I hope all your teeth calm down soon...Debbie
