| | 2nd root canal / pressure pain
on tooth #8 had a crown replaced for aesthetics only, an RCT followed which was done through the crown,
still throbbed after 3 months and sore to touch.
so went to an endodontist for second opinion
he re-treated tooth and got a good seal.
gum above the tooth was very sore for 2 weeks. now at one month gum still has minor soreness and tooth feels a pressure/pain all the time even when unntouched.
went to periodontist who said gums were fine.
went back to endodontist who said x-ray showed there was no inflammation and that some sealer from the first rct went to the bone and could not be sucked out through the tooth when he performed the 2nd rct. he said in time this sealer will dissipate. he said he can but does not want to perform an apicoectomy to remove material because he thinks it will go away on it's own.
he told me to get a permanent filling on the rct tomorrow
and that one month is not enough time for the root canal to healQUESTION:
could this healing time be the case
what is YOUR opinion on the sealer that went beyond the tooth
would removing the crown help?
should a get a third endodontic opinionany comment would be helpful
