For 20 years I had avoided root canals and was happy I did. I'd just have a deep filling then a crown on all my molars.
Last year I chipped a tooth near the front (top left) and got the worst stab of pain the next day while driving! Then it would just throb. It stopped but I Knew it would happen again so I went to an endo and had a RC. Afterwards the pain was minimal but my face was swollen for a week! I felt a "tingly" sensation on the cheek above the tooth on and off. NOw, months later, I have almost constant blurring in my left eye. It's not too bad; like a very light fog bank. Comes and goes.
Has ANYONE heard of bacteria from a RC'd tooth drifting to the eye? Since I DID go to an eye specialist and he said the eye was "fine" I bet I've discovered something. That there is a condition where bacteria drift to eyes and even to distant organs in root canaled teeth. I've read sev. times the case where this researcher removed a rc'd tooth from a person who got arthritis after a root canal and put it under the skin of a rabbit and the rabbit got arthritis almost immediately. I've read about people becoming sick in major organs after root canals. Anyone else heard of the blurred vision thing?
