I am going very soon to get a tooth filled. I have never had one done before and wondering what the procedure is. If anyone can help, please reply, thank you.

It's really not a big deal. The dentist will numb your tooth/mouth with an injection first. Then they will remove the decay either with a drill or air abrasion. After that, they will place a filling, which will set and then be adjusted for your bite. Nothing ought to be painful or worrysome. How have you escaped the drill so far? You must be young or have wonderful teeth!!

Hello There

I have recently had 4 fillings done not all at the same time like. For three of the fillings I had an injection once I was numb I did not feel a thing the fillings them self don’t take long at all before you know it you will be in and out of there in a flash. The longest for me was waiting 10 mins for me to get numb the filling don’t take long at all. Just relax your shoulders your arms and legs and your eye browns and think of something nice or even sing a song in your head what you know all the words to. (That’s what I do any way)I also take deep breaths through my nose and let it out slowly out of my mouth. (I have a dental phobia and am now over coming it).
