Hi, Jenna. I had a root canal done today. Before I went, I took a valium. I think it helped a little. It certainly won't hurt anything. As for how the root canal went, so far so good! But its way too soon to know if it will be okay, but with some luck for a change, maybe it'll be okay. I was told I have several teeth that "don't look good"; teeth that I may need to get root canaled. I'm going to take it one tooth at a time; hope for the best each time I guess! My best wishes to you, Jenna. Taking a valium won't hurt you one bit...anything that helps, I say go for it! Deb47

I can't get through any dental appointment without valium or xanax. If you're phobic or nervous, it will definitely help. Good luck.
