 getting braces off soon and a few questions!

Nice message board, I have been reading it all afternoon and it has some good info. Anyways, about 4 years ago I had a grinding problem (esp. with my front teeth), even though my teeth were perfectly straight. my dentist recommended braces to fix my bite. so about 2.5 years ago I got braces and now my bite is fixed. I get my braces off in about a month and a half but I am concerned. my teeth are perfectly straight except for my two front top teeth. there is a small, but noticeable "V" space inbetween my two front teeth. my orthodontist said it was due to the swelling of my gums and once I get my braces off that it will go back into place. is this true because I dont want to get them off until they are perfectly straight?? after I get my braces off I also plan on getting my 4 front teeth (and one canine tooth on the right side) bonded to make my teeth all the same size, not chipped and jagged. does anyone have an estimate on how much this would cost? and how long would I have to wait after I get my braces off before I can get my teeth bonded? sorry for rambling, but please help me if you can! thanks!!
