I have a very small white bump on my gums between two of my teeth which is not painful at all and I am worried about it because I have been chewing for 3 years now. Also, the other day I woke up with a swollen gum under a tooth and it was fairly painful. Now it is not painful at all but is still swollen and hard. Can an abcessed tooth be painless and the swelling be hard? Do you think I should be worried about oral cancer or some type?

yes it could be a abcess on your gums i have had that before a white bump on my gums.

have you ever had cousious iv sedation ? will i feel any pressure why they are pulling?

I had the same problem a couple of years ago. I went and saw my ENT (Ears, Nose, Throat) doctor and they insisted they pop it. It hurt like hell, but went away. 3 months later it was back! While I was getting my teeth cleaned by my dentist he saw the bump and replied, "Oh, you have a tooth that has died and you need a root canal." Sure enough, the white, puss filled bump was caused by the dead tooth disengaging from the root.

See your dentist and don't let any ENT doactors talk you into slicing and dicing before you have X-Rays done.
