Me personally I haven't ever heard of breaking someone's jaw because of wisdom teeth,
I was told when I was younger, or my parents were, that I did have wisdom teeth, but that because my teeth were already crooked, that there would be room for them, but, that if they decided to go with braces, the wisdom teeth would need to be pulled ahead of time, fast forward about 10 years, I had to have my last 2 top molars removed because they had been crushed by my wisdom teeth descending, apparently the dentist was wrong,
I'm not a doctor, or a nurse, but my opinion for what it's worth, would be to do the basic weighing of the pros & cons, ya know, would it be worth it in the long run, stuff like that, I wish I could be of more help,
