Extraction...awaiting Implant Question
Hi All,
So I had tooth #7 extracted 3 months ago due to a resorbed root. My periodontist said it looks fine but my relative (a periodontist) doesn't like the way it is turning out...the papilla receded more than expected (approx 3 mm). Also, I have TMJ and am awaiting the next step...whether it be braces or equilibration/crowns (hopefully not surgery as I have arthritic joints and bilateral disk displacement).
So my question is...
I currently have a temporary tooth bonded to tooth #6 and 8. My relative/periodontist said I could wear the temporary "indefinitely." The problem is that since the gums have healed there is a gap between the gums and the temporary. Will pushing the temporary into my gums be a bad thing? I do not want to wear a flipper...so I'm hoping they could fill in this gap somehow. Please help! Thanks
