Unhappy Wisdom teeth removal

I am 23 and I have an appointment to have my four wisdom teeth removed this friday. The dentist said the removal would be easy and only take 25 min. My four wisdom teeth are through, and are causing no problems. I am worried about not waking up. I think for some reason that I will die from this surgery. Can this Happen? I have never been put under, and I have never had surgery. Please Help

Thanks, Dustyn

If it is an easy thing and only going to be 25 minutes and you are that scared maybe you don't need to be under. They can just use novacaine shots sometimes. Just a thought. I was put under and so was my daughter and we are fine.

Hi Dustyn,

I have had to have alot of teeth removed, unfortunately, and I was put under every single time,

Ok every time, I had a pulse monitor on my wrist, an IV in my arm, wich is more likely that not how they will do it, and a blood oxygen meter on my finger,
And the dentist performing the proceedure, has to be specially certified to be able to administer anasthesia, and when I had it done, there was always atleast 2 nurses other than the doctor in the room,
One minute you will be awake, the next asleep, and then it will seem like it's only been maybe 5 mins. and you are awake, lol and you will still be very groggy and lol I sometimes feel like I'm seeing double, but you will do fine, like I say to everybody talk to your dentist, let them know you are concerned,

Good luck, and I hope it goes well
