Unhappy Splinters

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone out there has had this problem. I developed a troublesome area on my back gum (where my wisdom tooth would be) a few weeks ago. It kept getting worse and worse until low and behold a splinter broke through the gum (bone I suppose). Now I have two more developing in the same place. The strange think is that I haven't had any teeth removed in 14 years!! That's when I had my wisdom teeth removed. I was under the impression that these bony splinters occur SHORTLY following an extraction (days, weeks...maybe months. But 14 years?).

Thanks all,
Benngirl

Wink

Benngirl, I had a splinter removed just the other day from the gum where a molar was pulled two years ago. 14 years seems a long time, maybe the splinters were dormant all this time and decided to come up?
