 Orthognathic surgery questions...
I am supposed to have jaw surgery in December. I am just waiting on insurance to see if they will aprove it or not. I plan on having my top jaw moved foward to align the jaws and my nasal passages cleared out. If the top jaw isnt enough then they will shove the bottom jaw back. What is the cost of it? The billing department said as a guesstimate like $50,000 if I have them both done...this includes a 1 day stay in the hospital. like between $15,000-$20.000 for the doctor fee and like $20,000-$25,000 for the hospital fee. Does this sound right? What do I need to be aware of as far as healing goes? What major complications can happen? Please help...thanks....Zach
