Ok well i went out and got them anyway because i heard good things from other people on this forum when i searched for crest whitestips.

I have a question though.

After you have had them on for 30min and you take them off, do you rinse your mouth to get rid of the stuff thats still on your teeth?

My guess is yes and thats what i just did.

My second question is. For those of you who have tryed these did you do bottom and top twice a day or did you do top twice a day till they where finished then bottom twice a day till they where finished?

Thanks.

Andrew,

I'll try to help you out!

I have tried only the Crest Whitestrips. I did both upper & lower at the same time (twice a day). I believe the instructions said not to brush your teeth before you apply them, & not to rinse after.

I know that gunky stuff is kind of nasty, so I just sucked it through my teeth & spit it out into the sink.

Hope this helps!

Thanks. It says in the instruction not to get any of that stuff into your saliva flow so if you don't rinse it then i would thought you would be swallowing it.

I'll read over the instructions again.

Did it work well for you? How yellow where your teeth? On a scale of 1-10 what would you rate this product?

For me, Whitestrips were too much of a hassle for how slowly they did the job. I love my personal dental
tooth form thing I got years ago. I use it with strong
bleaching gel I got on an "online auction."
You just squirt the gel in the dental form, pop it
in and wait 20 min then take out the form and wash
it off. The strips were for me so icky, gooey
and ....just a hassle.

I think I mentioned this before, but Crest Night Effects is the best! Its not as messy as the strips, and it has a nice minty taste.

The strips are really messy and they don't really stay put, and you usually use them during the day. The Night Effects kit comes with little packets of a whitening gel, and also comes with brushes that you use to "paint" the white gel on. Obviously you use it mainly at night, and brush it off in the morning. It has a nice minty taste, unlike the strips that have that nasty peroxide taste. It can get a little messy though, especially if it gets on your fingers because it hard to wash off. But the results are quick and really noticable!

About the whitestrips, How can you not get any of that stuff into your saliva flow?

Do you spit it out every 2 mins?

http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif White Strips worked pretty well for me along with sensodyne extra whitening tooth paste. I had to use the sensodyne because the white strips made my teeth really sensitive.

I would suggest doing the top teeth first so that you have something to compare to but it is a hassle to have to do the bottom another week or so, messy stuff.

Well this 5 months over due but the answer to your question.

My teeth where pretty yellow. On a scale of 1-10 1 being white and 10 being real yellow i would say mine where about a 7.5 or 8. Due to smoking etc.

I used 1 pack of these and i'd say i went from a 7.5-8 to a 4.5-5. Not the greatest but better than nothing. They where still stained but you could see an improvment visualy.

I'm going to inquire about the whitening dentists do, where they make molds for your teeth and give you the stuff to put in the molds then you just keep the molds on your teeth for 30min or so. Just like a mouthguard and i heard it works a whole lot better than store-bought stuff because it's a lot stronger, it's also more expensive

I'll let you all know how it goes when i do finally get it.

Good Bye.

The Rembrant Whiting work really well. It is a mouthguard like you were talking about and a gel. I found the tooth paste that comes with it worked well. I am pretty sure the rembrant is cheeper but don't quote me on it. It did make my teeth sensitive but I don't think as much as the Strips.

Just my 2 cents!!

Re: Crest Whitestrips?

Not sure what kind it is.

My dentist told me about it, they make molds for my teeth so they fit perfectly and he gives me this whitening gel to put in the molds then you put them on your teeth for 30min, it's much easier than strips and the brush on stuff but it's quite a bit more expensive to get the molds made.
