Hi people. I had all 4 pulled last Friday (Oct 3). The worst one was my lower right tooth that was deeply impacted. I am STILL getting intense pain from the insicion itself and from deep down where the tooth used to be. The Dr says no infection is there. It wakes me up every night and I have to take Tylenol 3's. Did anyone else experience pain this long after the surgery? The other 3 seem fine. It's driving me crazy and I'm worried about it.
How did the doctor determine there is no infection? It's common with wisdom teeth. Have you taken any antibiotics? Call you dentist and don't mince words - tell him you are in pain and it shouldn't be like this especially when the other 3 don't hurt.

It sounds like a dry socket to me. He didn't offer to pack it? I guess all doctors don't believe in that anymore, but it sure helps. An oil of clove and gauze packing really does the trick.
I got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled last Thursday and I've been feeling great except I have this aching on my bottom left side (for 3 days now). I don't think it's coming from the extraction sites, but bottom molars feel itchy and ache, and I involuntarily bite down hard to stop it from being itchy. Sometimes it doesn't hurt at all, but then when I go to sleep I wake up in the middle of the night and it aches so badly for an hour and goes away again! Is this normal?? Any help would be appreciated.
yes it is dry socket
99%sure. Go to the dentist or orall surgean. They put a gauze in it and it feels Sooooooo good when they do that. then you go back 2 days later to repeat the process. ask his to check for dry socket. Its very common with wisdom teeth. you dont have to be in pain though
