I have serious dental issues. Always have, always will I guess. Yesterday I had both eye teeth removed from the top of my mouth. Dentist told me they were the worst to pull because they go so deep. One of them was in really bad shape. The nerve was exposed and the enamel had worn away almost completely around the top of the tooth. Anyways, he prescribed amoxicillin and ibuprofen. I've taken 3 doses of amoxicillin so far but have refused to take the ibuprofen because I had taken it for a long time before for an unrelated health problem and in turn it caused a stomach ulcer. Today the side of my face where the really bad tooth was pulled from is swollen and I am running a low grade fever (below 100). I know that swelling is common after extraction but what about the fever? Anyone else experience low grade fever after a tooth extraction? Thanks in advance.
Thanks so much for your reply. Yes the fever has gone away now that the swelling went down. I was a bit surprised to find that I woke up with a black eye this morning. Never had that happen with an extraction before but I hear it does happen. Anyways thanks again and take care.
