I would never have gotten through my dental work without Xanex!!!
I've heard of many cases where a dentist will prescribe valium for dental anxiety, so I don't see why xanex would be any different. From my own experience.....it's fine to take.
When I was at the perio last month, I saw one of the assistants give a woman some atavan because she was very nervous. Last time I had gum surgery, I took 1/2 a xanax - very mild and it didn't help all that much.
