| Re: Is there a way to relieve abscess or exposed root toothaches?
I once suffered from absesses recurring due to wisdom teeth coming in - it got so bad I burst them myself as I was literally crying in pain.
To do this I scrubbed up with hibiscrub (what they use in hospitals to sterilise hands), used sterile dressings from the chemist, wrapped it around my forefinger knuckle, and very gently applied pressure...until I felt relief and the throbbing went away. I then rinsed with cooled boiled salt water.
I would only recommend this if:
you are certain it is an absess
you follow all the instructions precisely to keep everything sterile
you cannot get to a denist
- why do you need to wait till Wednesday, will they not see you as emergency?
I dont like recommending this to anyone but in a case where you cannot take any more pain...my dentist said I did everything very well actually! If you dont get relief with just a little pressure dont force it as if your absess is not on the outside you could burst it inside and make things worse.
I am not medically trained. This is only an emergency measure, no doubt I will get shot down in flames for giving you this information but you seem desperate.
Hope you're ok
