Hi I've had Lichen Planus in my mouth 4 awhile now it jus started all of a sudden a couple years ago. Now my mouths always dry and my salvias thick and my tongue is white with a nasty taste in my mouth that IM constantly worried about when around ppl even though my doctor says there shouldn't be any problem.... if i brush it comes bak ......When i first went 2 the doctors 4 it they thought it might be thrush so i was on 3 different medications 4 it n none of them worked 2 were pills 1 was this yellow liquid u swish in your mouth ......till eventually they took a culture of it and ordered blood test ............the culture came bak with no bacteria on it so i was sent 2 an ear nose and throat specialist who pretty much gave me more pills n told me take those n if it doesn't work ill give u more ......I hated going 2 the doctors because every assumes u have sum disease like aids which i don't they tested me 4 everything and i have nothing ..............so anyway i moved 2 a different state and went 2 another doctor about it..... he took another culture and told me 100% its not thrush its Lichen Planus ...so i was put on steroids 4 a couple weeks that didn't work ......so he tried it longer n still didn't work ..... it improved a lil but i still had the dry mouth and thick saliva the nasty taste .....The doctor then ordered Blood Test and Found i have Low White blood cells so ive been getting B12 shots 4 a couple months ....he plans 2 give me the b12 shots for 6 months then take the blood test again 2 c if its improved my low white blood cells ........the shots seem 2 help my mouth so my Question is do u think this has something 2 do with my problem?? and has any else ever experienced this?? ..........Is there anyway 2 get rid of it and the dry mouth ....this suxs .......Thank YoU JoE
