| sensitive teeth or enamel loss, a little long, sorry
I did write a post the other day but I did not really explain the situation.
In March I had a cleaning and exam, the dentist told me I grind and to go get a drugstore plate since he did not want to waste my money. I did that day but it did not fit that well, I had to mold it with hot water. I woke up that same night and my two front teeth were sore. I looked in the mirror and the two front teeth...the tips of them were a different color. A brighter yellow. Transparent. The bright yellow parts are just where the bite plate had rested. I had never seen my teeth this way before and they were very sensitive. I called the dentist and he looked at my teeth and said your teeth have always been like this. I said NO WAY. I left and he instructed me to buy sensodyne and that would be fine.
Well, it is not fine. When I use any other toothpaste besides Colgate enamel paste the tips come back in full color of that yellow. I also have been using the oragel desensitizing polish. This all seems to help, temporary.
I think I lost some enamel. I also was eating a very hard protein bar that night that go stuck on that tooth.(It was hard and might I add disgusting) Then the dentist asked had I seen a neurologist. I explained that I never had an issue with my teeth till that night.
Any thoughts please?
Also I am scheduled to have braces but can you put braces over bonding or veneers since that is what I might do to resolve the pain.
