Re: How to get my bite back it is off

The dentist may have left the filling intentionally low to take the tooth out of occlusion. This is usually done to protect the tooth if the tooth is in a high stress area and tends to fracture, feel sore often, or other dental issues.

Go back to your dentist and have the dentist take a look. Maybe the dentist did not pack the tooth enough with enough filling material and/or maybe it was placed low intentionally. If it was just an error, the dentist can add more filling material.

Yes I would go back.. You don't want your jaw misligned or you can get t.m.j. Not a good thing at all. T.M. J.

Re: How to get my bite back it is off

yes i am having similar problems ,my old dentist put so many big crowns in my mouth (which is only a small mouth) that i have similar problems now !!

i do also grind my teeth now too due to it ,apparantly my new dentist told me because of my crowns ,there isnt anything i can do about my teeth being out of line
well i suppose there is by taking them all off and re-doing them ,but i cant afford that to be done paid out enough as it is

Re: How to get my bite back it is off

My teeth are also out of alignment. I went to an orthodontist and he said that may be true but he's more concerned with getting my jaw bite correct rather than matching up my teeth. I don't understand it entirely but in my situation he says that my front teeth are hitting first when I bite/chew and he made me a splint to assist in moving my bite to where it should be. I'm not sure what he does about the teeth not coming together correctly. Anyways, you could see a specialist for an evaluation about your bite.
