Ive read many things about laser fillings replacing the dreaded dentist drill, which ive heard isnt the nicest of things to have! Anyhow- apparantly lasers are being used instead of drills and its virtually painless and isnt as scary? Most of the info ive found on it so far has been in america or in the south of england and i live in the north If anyone has any information on this let me know.. as i think im due a filling shortly!
I'm in Scotland (uni) and North England (at home), and I've heard quite a bit about this technique being used, but so far only in children. Also from what I gather it's easier to come by if you go private than on the NHS. Good luck!
