Question Canker Sores & Surgery - HELP

I had some teeth removed and 2 days later I noticed I had a sharp bone sticking out. The dentist told me I had a canker sore in the area and needed to wait until the sore went away before proceeding to do more surgery to remove/shave the bone. Yet, I am in alot of pain and only am taking a gel and antibiotics.
Do I need to wait for the canker sore to heal before surgery or can they do it now? I'm looking for a second opinion as they are giving me a run-around.

Re: Canker Sores & Surgery - HELP

It seems like it is the bone sliver that is CAUSING the sore! Bug that dentist until he sees you. You shouldn't have to pay another dentist to take care of a problem like this!
