Help Imscared ... dental issue

I know it sounds wussy but ok Im scared... Im a super healthy 29 yr old white male... Never had a cavity in my life... This year i was brushing my teeth and noticed blood on my front tooth... well i thought i was just brushing too hard and then after a few days i noticed it was worse.. well i looked super close and realized that wasnt blood.. that was some "meat" inside my tooth.. i had a hole in my left front tooth... i went to teh dentist and they said it looked like something hit it.. and i said nothing had hit it... well the hole extended under my gums... they filled it ... ok here is the weird thing... all year the gums keep going in and out of being inflamed (just the small area where the hole was) and will bleed if poked... no root canal at that time but then 4 months later it started hurting bad so a month and a half ago i got a root canal... well up until now nothing else has been wrong except my gums bled a little more yesterday just in that one spot... well i ran my fingernail over that tooth and felt it catch today along where it meets the other front tooth so i took a bright light and looked in teh mirror and it now looks like a verticle crack along the edge where that tooth meets the other front tooth... The other bad thing is i can see a bunch of other cracks now in that other front tooth... I HAVE NEVER even had a cavity... what can be causing these teeth to become brittle and crack and whats up with the gums over that one tooth... I thought brittle bone disease but i have really strong bones elsewhere and besides a couple toes have never broken anything..... What diseases can cause this and is this something I should worry about as far as a disease that can be deadly - i know i may be jumping the gun but I just had a baby and I want to see her grow up ya know.

Any help apreciated..... Scott

Re: Help Imscared ... dental issue

I'm not so sure that it is due to disease but maybe due to pressure or stress on the teeth themsevles from ginding, clenching or crowding. Have your wisdom teeth come in or were they already removed? The only thing I know of that could affect the teeth could be a calcium, vitamin D or mineral deficiency as well as use of certain drugs over long periods of times. If you haven't already you should discuss this with your dentist.
