Eye Teeth - Dental Health Message Board

Well...to start with this morning I was at work and my top eye tooth just fell out. I went to the dentist this afternoon - he said he felt my only option was extraction - there's very little left of the tooth - and he said he could do a post and crown - The post and crown would cost - $825 but it probably would not last long due to the remainder of the tooth condition. So he said I could come back and do the extraction - and then get a partial - I have several back teeth missing - this would be from $400 - $800 depending on the type - I get. My question - he said the eye teeth could be kind of difficult to get out - but it wouldn't be that bad. Anybody know about the eye teeth? I made an appt. for next Thursday morning to have this done. I am so scared!!

I had all my teeth pulled with the exception of 4 on the bottom. I did regular novacaine. I noticed no difference between the eye teeth being pulled versus the other teeth.

I think they say its harder cause the roots for those teeth are longer....but I didn't feel any pain and it didnt bother me.

By the way I was in a world of anxiety scared out of my mind over NOTHING.

The only thing my dentist offers is novacaine. I am hoping it will be a piece of cake!!!
