Sealant coming off/cotton coming out after root canal! - Dental Health Message Board

If course it's the weekend now when this happens.... I had a root canal on Monday and today(Sat AM) when I checked the tooth, some of the cotton was coming out of the tooth. Agh!! I called the endodontist and they said to try and seal it again myself w/ a tooth filler from the drug store, until I can get in on Monday. I have never heard of this, but will look for it today. I will rinse constantly w/ Listerine and hydrogen peroxide to try and keep it clean. I'm concerned about contamination. Has anyone ever had this happen and what did you do?

Don't worry too much about this. When you go back to the dentist they will file the insides some more and clean it again. It isn't a big deal.
