Does anyone know what the cost is (I know it varies) of a 4 tooth fixed bridge in the NY area? Approximate?

Probably about $1K to $1.5K per tooth - I would think about $6K -$8K for the bridge which would include impressions, prepping the teeth, temps and the perms - could be more or less depending on your location and the dentist. They ususally charge the same as they would for crowns.

Thank you. Prepping the teeth meaning what? The grinding down or root canal?

The filing or grinding them down. A rc would be additional. I know most dentists recommend the rc before a crown or bridge is done but its not always necessary. A lot has to do with the current condition of the tooth (if it has an older and deep filling or is fractured or cracked) and how much the dentist removes in prepping it.

I'm in PA. I'm having one done next month and it's costing me $4,000.

How bad are the temps? Do they really look fake? Do they fall off?
