| Re: Invisalign
The pressure was really bad for a few days, hurt when they put the Invisalign in, I left feeling what did I get myself into, 2 hours later dinner time-it took 20 minutes to get it out (use a dry tissue to grip one side to loosen it) then I felt a different pressure as if I was hit in the mouth when I got it out, I'm thinking hey this is great I really will loose a few pounds since it felt like a big deal to get them out, no more snacks. Next day at work everyone is going out to lunch but me I couldn't get it out again-after 2 days I got the technique down and their easy to put in and take out that I don't have to give up snacks.
I had to get dots put on 6 of my teeth for the Invisalign to work, tooth colored squares to grip and turn the teeth in the Invisalign that was what made it hard for me getting them on and taking them out in the begining-they were noticeable to me but not to anyone else, they don't hurt and you will forget that they are there (depends on your treatment if you need them) There is also some filing done inbetween your teeth for the teeth to be able to move, sounds worse than it is, it freaked me out until I got home and saw how minimal the space was. The dots and the areas where the filing is done cannot be seen when Invisalign is in.
I schedule my appt for each new Invisalign in the late afternoon, I take an Advil on my way there, where them until dinner put them back in and go to sleep-they have never bothered me while sleeping. Since #3 aligner I haven't felt any pressure when a new aligner gets put in or taken out.
You can only drink cold water with them in anything hot can warp them and drinking anything with color will make them noticeable in your mouth. I was cleaning them with toothpaste but that can be expensive and to me they looked cloudy, I use 1/2 Denture pill cleaner (Brand name or generic) and soak them in water.
The lisp lasted about a week and at work I'm on the phone all day only co-workers noticed because I brought it up.
I noticed a difference in one of the two teeth around #5, I'm on #9 and finish after completing #13.
