I can't get the food out between 2 teeth

Hi,

I have had something stuck in between my two top back molars, for like 3 days now. Everytime I eat on that side it seems like it is poking my gums and going up higher.

I have a headache just from this.

I have tried everything under the sun. I have tried toothpicks, floss, even hydrogen peroxide and water and let it sit there, hoping that it would bubble out.

No such luck.

Does anyone have any suggestion.

Thanks,

Lookinforanswer

Re: I can't get the food out between 2 teeth

Well, I had a popcorn Kernal went under my gum and I had to go to the dentist to get it out and my gum started to become red and smollen . My suggestion is to get to the dentist and get him to pull the food out .

Hope this helps ,
Jena

Re: I can't get the food out between 2 teeth

see a dentist, yes. Meanwhile, putting butter around the teeth to get them as slippery as possible, is what helps me is. I put cold pats of butter from the refrigerator at the affected gum line & wait til they melt. Then teflon (Glide) floss can get offending particles out, if the butter has had enough time to get well between the teeth and under the gums. Use real butter, not a substitute.

But your condition is worse than anything that's happened to me. So even if butter might help dislodge the particle, your mouth needs dental care.
Sharp objects like a toothpick can damage the gums. You may also have an infection that has started and must be stopped ASAP.
