Extraction not healing correctly??? - Dental Health Message Board

Hi-again--As I have posted, I have had root canals, apicos, and then an extraction of one of the teeth (6 months ago)---which is still throbbing!!!!--Has anyone had trouble with the pocket healing or filling in?? the ex-ray, of course looks OK--but--IT throbs and aches!!!!! Could there still be something wrong inside the pocket that feels like it jabs????

Have you been checked for a dry socket and for an infection? A dry socket would occur within the first week, but there could be an infection. Were all the pieces removed? Did the tooth come out clean with all roots intact? Were you given antibiotics before the extraction? I would definitely revisit the dentist. Could it be another tooth? I would definitely revisit the dentist to see what is going on or get a second opinion.
