I remember that when I had mine out I got really tired of all the sweet pudding types of foods... so I went out and bought the StoveTop stuffing (the kind you make in the microwave). Add a little extra water to it and it is mushy enough. Pasta (like chopped up spaghetti, mac n' cheese and ramen noodles) doesn't really need to be chewed either (especially if it's slightly overcooked). You do get to wanting the taste of real food.
Pasta, apple sauce, any soups that don't have a lot of meat or hard veggies, tapioca puddings. I had major dental surgery done this past Monday and found that I could eat grilled Salmon (deboned). It wasn't that bad.
