Help tooth throbbs with pain when I lay down to sleep.
I've got a tooth(molar I think) that is getting pulled on Aug 30th it keeps getting infected and the cavity is right to the nerve...anyway every time I go to lay down I get this throbbing pain in that tooth but when I stand up it goes away,is there anything I can do to stop the pain and throbbing when I lay down?...I really can't sleep because of this!

Why do you have to wait until Aug. 30? Can you get this done sooner? Are you on antibiotics for infection. It really sounds like it is infected and when you lay down it puts pressure on that area and then throbs. I would certainly see if you can get this taken care of before Aug. 30, and certainly check on the infection. It is not good to have infection in your body and it should be dealt with. Hope you feel better.

Aug 30th is the earliest I can get in but they said if there are any cancellations then they would move me up on the list.God I hope they can move me up!!

Who is extracting the tooth - your dentist or an oral surgeon? If it is an oral surgeon could your dentist refer you to someone else? Does your dentist know how much this is hurting you? Are you on antibiotics? I would try to get in somewhere else? That is a long time to wait in pain and not good if it is infected.
