Question About if Dentist Is Obligated To Fix Bonding...
I need to wait until tomorrow to call the dentist, but I was just curious if he would be obligated to fix my tooth for free. My bonding came off my one front tooth the other day, so I had him fix it yesterday. Both my 2 front teeth have bonding on the bottom of them. The thing is, a few years ago, he used whiter bonding and I made sure to just keep up with whitening since it was a little whiter than my teeth. When I got my one tooth done yesterday, he matched it except it's a bit more yellower. Now my 2 front teeth are different colors, and it's noticeable. Shouldn't he have tried to blend it in with the tooth next to it? I mean, I can't even use whitening now because that will have no effect on the bonding. The white tooth just emphasizes how yellow the tooth next to it is. Should I demand that this be fixed to look better?

I think you should nicely tell you are not satisfied with the color and that you would like him to redo it.
honestly, from my experience these days, dentists are just not caring about their work. I think it is all about the money. I just feel they don't put their heart and soul into their work anymore. It is a shame!

Honestly, I showed other people to ask, to see if I'm just being paranoid and picky, and they said oh yeah, one tooth is definitely much whiter than the tooth next to it. I guess I'll call tomorrow, and be like, my front teeth are 2 completely different colors. What can I do about this? I hope they don't just say, well too bad, we matched the tooth.
I mean the bonding did match my tooth well, but the color of the tooth next to it should be kept in mind. Sometimes before my one tooth would look like it had a stain since the bonding was whiter, but in that case, I would whiten my teeth every few months to lighten it.

That's an idea except now chipping this one tooth is going to cost me over $1500 instead of $750 (how much it costed to do the one). I'm not sure how much my insurance company will reimburse me considering it's cosmetic. It was badly chipped though when the bonding came off the other day, but I can't see how they'll cover the second one when it's because of the color.
