Smile upper front teeth loose

Hello all,

my two upper front teeth are a bit loose and they wobble slightly.

i dont know how they became loose like this?maybe it was when i was biting on something and just didnt realise at the time how hard i actualy bit lol.
im worried that they might come out at a later date but they dont hurt or anything.

is there any chance that they could strenten back up again?
they are not all that loose they jusy wobble abit more than others.

thanks

Re: upper fron teeth loose

You may need to provide a bit more info or dental history for some to help you with advice or suggestions. Most teeth have some wiggle to them - not much but a tad but noticing an increase in mobiity is never a good sign - biting into something shouldn't be the casue unless the teeth were already in jeopardy. Actually most dentists would prefer you keep your natural teeth and will do whatever it takes to preserve them. Assuming you have not had previous trauma to the teeth in question including braces or crowns and do not wear a night guard or orthotic appliance - I would say either your teeth are shifting due to malocclusion (a poor bite), wisdom teeth eruption, or grinding or clenching or you are developing periodontal problems which needs to be addressed by a periodontist. Perio treatments can help reduce pockets around teeth which will prevent further erosion of underlying bone and allow gum tissue to tighten around the teeth making them more stable.

Re: upper fron teeth loose

first off thankyou for your time in replying,

my dental records are great,Everytime ive been to the dentist they said they were fine and infact i have quite nice teeth.

they are not all that loose but im just worried they wont tighten back up and become even more loose

i was reading in some places on the net about people just getting loose teeth for odd reasons and some of the people written back that after a few weeks they had tightned back up but some said even after 2 years they were still loose

i havnt had any teeth replaced in the past or had any damage to any of them

Re: upper fron teeth loose

I remember when I was younger getting quite concerned that my teeth were loose, and I would always wiggle them in the mirror and they did seem to move. Of course they weren't loose and it was just me being paranoid. Now I have advanced periodontal disease in some areas of my mouth, and I am undergoing specialist treatment for this. I have one tooth in particular that is (really) loose and if you wiggle it it really does move (not in the imagination). this tooth is going to be removed to help my other teeth-but my point is that to me it sounds like you have developed abit of a thing about these teeth being loose, and I would bet that they aren't really-just the normal movement of healthy teeth. You really can see it if they are seriously loose. Hope this helps you-(ps enjoy your nice healthy teeth-I am not so lucky and wish my teeth looked nice and had a clean bill of health like yours)
