I had a lower partial plate for 10 yrs. before getting a my lower dentures. There is only one problem with a bottom partial plate, food. Such things as salt get under them and it time to make a trip to the bathroom to rinse them off or wash you mouth. This is usually the only iritating problem I ever had.
