New veneers

Last week I received full mouth ceramic veneers. I hate them. They are too big and yellow, after I repeatedly requested small, very white teeth. A friend told me that the dentist can order any shade teeth I want and that A1 is the whitest shade, like a sheet of paper. Is this correct? The dentist says the whitest shade the veneers come in is only 2 shades lighter than what I now have, which still has a marked yellow undertone. I don't understand why the lab cannot make white veneers, like I see daily on every newscaster on TV and on celebrities.

Re: New veneers

Thanks for your answer. I did have bleaching recently. Are porcelain and ceramic veneers the same? So if the dentist redoes them, I should ask for B1 and not A1? (Plus whiter cement).
