well if the tooth is infected there isnt a point of having a root canal,the tooth would have to come out!
perhaps they might try a course of anti biotics to see if the infection can go,but in long run ,the tooth would probably have to come out if infected
IMO ,if it is a back tooth rather than all the expense trying to save it ,just have the tooth out,but if it is in front,maybe worth a try trying to save it
but i think you find later in the stage it have to come out which cost you money
