Has anyone ever had a dentist what to pull a tooth becuase of a minor cavity?

Has anyone ever had a dentist tell you that pulling a tooth is best just for having a minor cavity? They don't even hurt. Or is this dentist just being a jerk?

You'd be suprised that even what seems like a minor cavity can actually be much worse than it looks or feels. It could get infected before it starts hurting. It's happened to me, where a tooth didn't hurt so I ignored it, and it got infected so it had to be completely pulled. Fortunately a wisdom tooth moved in and replaced it.

My old dentist preferred to pull instead of fix...he was working on me getting dentures....anyhow...almost all teeth can be fixed, and take it from me, do not let them pull until you get a second opinion!
Im 44 and I dont have that many teeth left because i let them pull them.
Ive also had a dentist tell me I needed a 4000 bridge.....my new dentist said no way my broken crown can be fixed.
Ive alsi had a dentis not correct two bottom teeth...he wouldnt even clean the tarter off of them because he said they would fall out....I had them cleaned and braced and I still have them...however Im now looing at gum surgery to correct the gums.
Ive also had an overbite that gets worse as I get older....my new dentist is sending me to a orthodontist...probably end up with jaw realignment.
My old dentst told me there was nothing that could be done about it.
