I had my wisdom teeth out recently and when they x-rayed me they found a growth the size of a tooth in my jaw, right behind the wisdom tooth. During the extraction they also did a biopsy of the growth. I recently heard the biopsy found that it was just bone.
Now in the past couple of years I've developed a painless version of TMJ where my jaw cracks very loudly, but the oral surgeon says he doesn't know the cause so I supose it's unrelated.
Thing is, the oral surgeon office didn't even remember to tell me how the biopsy went. I had to call them after a few weeks and I heard it from some secretary. So I don't know if there's anything I should actually do about it, or if it effects anything. What do you think? I can't go to any specialists.
Having wisdom teeth remove can cause TMJ problems, most likely it's related.. Your Jaw gets use to having the bite a certain way and when teeth are removed, the jaw is in a different postion.
A bite appliance might help. Dentist can fit you for one.
