Been fighting peridonal disease 15 years with the same dentist - average once a week. Last Monday right side of my face swelled up; dentist says no problem, just pyorhea. Worse by Thursday, dentist administered anesthetic, open up gum area to let drain.... Today (Saturday a.m.) face is still swelled. The only pain is where he opened the gum and high on the right check where the infection or whatever has caused a kind of hard area. I am on my way there just now, again. I guess I am wondering if this guy knows what he is doing or not (after 15 years, I am wondering now???) and if this swelling will ever go away. Doesn't get bigger; doesn't get smaller, no particular pain unless I press on the hard area. He has given be anti-biotics to take and pain killers.... Any comments, suggestions??
Thanks, have thought of that. Unfortunately, over here (Japan) records are not transferable and no doctor/dentist will start in where another has left off unfinished. Sigh. Just keep struggling along, I guess. Today he claims the situation is better - at least there is no pain. LOL
