[QUOTE=pinkharvest;3343130]I have about 10 teeth left in my mouth. None of them are in very good shape. I have a 1500 insurance max. So I need to come up with additional money. I don't want to go cheap but I notice a large variation in price, quality etc. Help, what should it cost for a really good set?

Hi,

A benefit amount of 1500 is not at all bad! Remember thats what the insurance pays, so if your dentures are about 1000 each, depending on what % your insurance pays, 50-80%, you'll be able to wwork with that amount. My insurance paid 70% for each denture, and my max was 1100 for the year. I would call numerous dental offices and shop on the phone. This is what I did. Let your fingers do the walking....A plate can cost anywhere from 395-1800 each, and also depending on which kind, plastic, or porcleins, which are more expensive. Keep in mind the plastics are as durable in strength as the procelins. Ask your dentist....Vergie
