Hello to all~
my question.....I have been taking Amoxicillin 500 mg 3 x a day for a tooth that is in need of a root canal. I need other work done too. So far the med has worked to calm the tooth and the pain. I cant have work done until after Christmas but my med runs out tomorrow. I have regular penicillin(500 mg) left from the dentist back in October. Is it okay to just take these once my Amoxicillin is gone. I am scared stiff the tooth will "blow up" over the holidays if Im not on an antibiotic for all of December. Is it "safe" to take it for a whole month? anyone? any help is appreciated!

yes ,that should be ok ,but finish this course and see how the tooth is,dont take other anti biotic unless the tooth starts up again
also buy some painkillers and corsydil mouthwash in case it starts up again

until you get to dentist again after xmas

but lets hope the pain doesnt come back

is corsydil rinse available in the U.S?
have not heard of it.
is it for pain? or cleansing?

i would of thought ,you be able to get it in america cordysil mouth wash ,try the chemist?

if not ,ask them for mouthwash for gingivitous or gum disease ,they should have something similar ,dont panic because the mothwash is for gingivitous and gum disease it doesnt mean you have either
it just good for your gums if your having problems with your teeth and gums
