If anyone can give me some info, it would be great!! I had a panoramic x-ray done and my dentist noticed a few little lump-like things underneath about 4 of my bottom teeth. He didn't know what it was so he referred me to an oral surgeon "for evaluation". If I feel the inside of my gums carefully I can feel a small bump. I have no idea how long it has been there - perhaps for years and I never noticed. I also am pretty sure I am congenitally missing a molar right where the bump..no primary OR permanent tooth was ever present. But if it was due to this, wouldn't a dentist know this? I am a little worried and curious since I'll probably have to wait weeks to be seen by an oral surgeon..
Are the bumps on the inside of your lower jaw? If so it could be Tori, which is a Boney Enlargement, it's no problem. If not, do any of your teeth hurt? Call the Oral Surgeon and tell them you just saw the Dentist and got a Pan. and you are having a problem and they should be able to get you right in.
