how do you replace a front tooth

due to an injury i needed to have a bone grafting done to one of my front teeth. Unfortunately it didn't take and my tooth is still loose after 4 months. I know that it will be coming out soon and I was wondering if i would be able to get an implant because the reason that my tooth is loose is that there is apparently not enough bone up there to hold the real tooth. Help?

Re: how do you replace a front tooth

Anterior or front implants tend to be easier and less likely to fail and the only real issue is the proximity of the sinus but they do have some newly designed implants that are not as long or require as much bone - so go for some consults with specialists and find out what your options are. Your other alternative would be to do a fixed bridge without an implant - in this scenario they would use the teeth on either side of the missing tooth as anchors by prepping or filing them down them and securing a 3 pontic bridge to them with cement - similar to how crowns are done - but the middle tooth or pontic would be a dummy tooth to replace the one you are losing. I had this for a while too and it was fine only I was missing my 4 front teeth and they used my canines as anchors for a 6 pontic fixed bridge.
